ABOUT US

The Prince George Peacemakers began as a group of Christian business people who wanted to see the business community of our city thrive and to encourage those who were serving our city in that area.

Over time we have discovered that the heart of Jesus for our city is much bigger than just the sphere of business and we have become captivated by the vision of seeing His wisdom and ways transform every part of our community.

This is why the Prince George Peacemakers exists.

OUR CORE VALUES

1

MISSION

We live our lives on mission and are determined to make the most of the time we have been given. God is already actively engaged in missional work all around us and we choose to spend our lives by joining Him in what He is already doing. We are people of big faith and are determined to be like the Centurion in (Insert reference here), at whom Jesus marveled, saying: “I have not found such faith anywhere else in all of Judea.”

  • Matthew 28: 19-20 - Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

  • Revelation 11:15 - The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said: “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Messiah, and he will reign for ever and ever.”

2

SPIRIT CENTERED

The Holy Spirit is at the center of everything we do. He is our unifying factor, and the strength that binds our hearts to one another. He is our leader and guide, and the source of all that we need in our pursuit of God’s mission on the earth.

  • Philippians 2

CROSS DISCIPLESHIP

We are convinced of the necessity of operating as a body and that it is only when we operate in connection with one another that we are able to truly fulfil the purposes of God in the world. We rely on each other’s differences and strengths to fill out the expression of God through us as we intentionally sharpen one another through cheering one another on, calling one another higher, and giving the best of who God made each of us to be to one another.

  • Romans 12

  • Eph 4:11-16 - So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

4

RISK

We are committed to radical obedience and are willing to lay aside personal comfort, reputation, or worldly success in order to follow Jesus. We do not shy away from adversity and are determined to fulfil the plans that God has, whether that comes at great or little cost.

  • Joshua 1:9 - “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

  • Daniel 3:16-18 - “Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him, “King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us[a] from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.”
